Financial freedom, I believe, is the goal everyone endeavours to achieve.
We
study hard for a better future. Work hard for that elusive larger bonus, pay
raise and promotion. And for what again do we invest our time into all these? Financial
freedom.
Then
again, how many of us can be really fortunate to just focus on our day job and
expect to be financially free in 20, 30, 40 years time?
Let me
frame it differently, how many of us are EXCITED about the prospects of working
as an employee, taking all the shit along with it because it is our only source
of income, for 20, 30, 40 years before we MAY be financially free?
I know
I can’t. I’m in my mid 20’s this year (2012), have my parents and younger brother
to support, a girlfriend who I want to marry before I hit 30 (hopefully). I
plan to have kids and be able to spend as much time as I can to see them grow
up. I can’t imagine working my ass off on my day job, fighting to climb the
corporate ladder, staying in office till after mid night, working 7 days a week
and have that nagging concern that that is my ONLY source of income! I’m
considered a high flyer at my current organization, but the thought of all the
above ... ... just ... ....really ... ...scares me.
The
past 5 years had been a steep learning curve. I got into various side lines to
not only make money, but also learn and understand which makes most sense for
me at each stage of my life. Property agent, started my own events and trading
company, went into stock investments, network marketing and affiliate marketing
Thankfully,
I’ve had successes in all areas. Not major ones, but nonetheless encouraging.
Listen,
there’s a lot of things out there in the market to make additional income. It
all works. The question is: Which of these opportunities are more or most
suited for at your current stage in life?
Some
of my closer pals had asked me why I am doing this. Why is it that I am
creating a blog which will pack all my experiences to help others decipher the
kind of opportunities they really should be looking at?
It’s
simple really, I had finally understood what I enjoy doing. And that is really,
in consultative work. I lay down the facts for you to make an informed decision.
You win by learning from my experience, I win by gearing you to the right
opportunities. It’s a mutually benefitting relationship.
When
it turns out a success for you, you can always buy me coffee when I travel
around your area.
Best
regards,
